  • Provide all your old video media (film reels, video tapes and DVDs) that you would like to have converted to digital video.

  • ​All media will be converted to digital .MP4 format by default.  Other formats such as .MOV, .AVI, .WMW can be provided upon request.

    • MP4 Format is one of the best digital formats for storing audio & video by today's digital standards.

  • ​The names (if any) that is written on your old media will be used for the naming of the digital video file(s).

    • If no title is shown on the old media, your new digital video file(s) will have a relatable name based on the video footage.

  • Once your old videos have been converted to digital video file(s), the Digital Editing will include:

    •  Remove unviewable footage (static, noise)

    •  Remove delayed starts and blank ends

    •  Set aspect ratio for wide screen TV

    •  Trim the borders for sharp edging

    •  Rearrange footage to align with timelines

    •  Rename videos with related year and titles

  • Once your digital video file(s) have been edited, they will be uploaded to a private Google Drive. 

  • A link will then be sent to you by text and email to view your digital video file(s) online.

  • When you click on the link, you will be able to view your digital video file(s) on your Mobile phone, PC, Laptop or Tablet. 

    • Note: At this stage, you will NOT be allowed to download any files.

  • After viewing you will have the choice to make further Digital Enhancements.

 

Our 2 Key Services​

​​ 1 - CONVERSION and EDITING

  • Your converted digital video file(s) will need to be stored somewhere that is easily accessible and viewable.

  • Your digital video file(s) can be stored on:

    • USB (recommended for a small amount of video files and as a backup device)

    • External Hard Drive (recommended for longevity and reliability)

    • 3rd party online storage (i.e. Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, iCloud etc..)

  • The best way to view any digital video file(s) is to store onto a USB or External Hard Drive.  Both these devices can be plugged into any smart TV, and by using your TV remote control you can easily navigate to select and watch all your cherished family home videos on your TV.

  • No need for any other playback equipment such as projectors, VCRs, DVD players etc...

  • For security and safeguard we highly recommend a minimum of 2 storage devices to store your digital video file(s).  A backup copy to be kept at a different location.  Moreover, an added backup can be uploaded to a cloud storage service for increased security.
